PATRIOTIC PYROTECHNICS: Fireworks light up the sky and illuminated image projections created a patriotic canvas on the exterior on Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. July 3, 2008. It was all part of a surprise preview for Walt Disney World theme park guests of the Fourth of July fireworks show entitled, "Disney's Celebrate America - A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky." The show was presented July 4th in the Magic Kingdom park.

IT'S A BOY!: A newborn African elephant calf and his mother, Moyo, bond at Walt Disney World Resort. The 327-pound calf, which has yet to be named, was born June 28, 2008 at Disney's Animal Kingdom. This is the fourth elephant born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Tufani, who is Moyo’s first male calf, was born in 2003; Kianga, a female, was born in 2004; and Nadirah, the youngest female, joined the herd in 2005.

LARGE AND IN CHARGE: A 12-inch-tall toy Buzz Lightyear is posed at Kennedy Space Center May 30 as Space Shuttle Discovery sits behind it on the launch pad. Disney Parks worked with NASA to include a Buzz toy on Discovery to celebrate the opening of "Toy Story Mania!" The toy on the spacecraft was transferred to the International Space Station, where it is currently residing.
